SeaFair docked in Morehead City, NC.

In my exhibit at SeaFair with my wonderful husband & fellow teacher, Bob. The MegaYacht was docked in Morehead City for the weekend art show as part of the NC Seafood Festival. It was a great experience to be a part of. We met a lot of great art… — In my exhibit at SeaFair with my wonderful husband & fellow teacher, Bob. The MegaYacht was docked in Morehead City for the weekend art show as part of the NC Seafood Festival. It was a great experience to be a part of. We met a lot of great artists and art lovers.

Dana is also a full-time art teacher at Topsail Middle School in Hampstead, NC. She is inspired by the creations and enthusiasm of her students. "It always keeps things fresh, every day is different even if the lesson is the same. Creativity can go in so many directions even when given the same guidelines!!!"

Dana likes to bring in her artwork for her students to see the "before", "in-progress" and "after" stages. "I encourage my students to take pictures of their artwork on their cell phones or digital cameras to explore the same things in their own work. Unfortunately, a lot of students don't keep their art, at least they can keep a digital collection to refer to later as they get older. Technology is really useful for this".
